The PIOA Trauma and Research Modules were held in Madang, Papua New Guinea from January 29th to February 16th, 2018. In total 20 trainees attended these modules with lessons been taught by staff from Switzerland, Australia, Solomon Islands and New Zealand.
Interactive education methods were used to provide a systematic approach to diagnosis and management of trauma. Simulated stations allowed participants to develop their practical skills and daily ward rounds at the local hospital provided many hands on teaching opportunities.
