Andrew Vane

Orthopaedic Surgeon

Andrew is a Hip, Knee and General Orthopaedic Surgeon working at Grace Hospital, Tauranga Public Hospital and Whakatane Public Hospital. Andrew grew up in Tauranga before attending Auckland University. Andrew graduated from Auckland Medical School in 1998 and subsequently gained his Orthopaedic Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2007. Andrew then completed fellowships in Sports Knee in Perth, Hip Replacement in Exeter, and Hip and Knee Replacement in Edinburgh. 

Andrew commenced work back in Tauranga at the end of 2010. Andrew has an interest and commitment to helping our Pacific neighbours. He visits the Cook Islands regularly to provide surgical expertise and ongoing support. Andrew is married and has 2 young children.

Andrew has membership with the New Zealand Medical Council, New Zealand Orthopaedic Association and the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. He is a member of the New Zealand Hip Society
